Hi! Your Samish Island Community Club has decided that we can experiment with this "blog" to see how much gas we can save. Let's see if it works!
If you need a ride -- if you need stamps -- if you need a quart of milk -- if you need a book dropped off at the library -- or if you'd like to save gas for someone else -- this blog is something you can try!
I started things off. My wife and I had a book that needed to go to the Bellingham Library or a Bellingham Haggen's. Eileen Andersen helped us out big-time!
Anyone can comment on a Blog Post. You just need a Google account, which is easy and spam-free. If you would like to be able to make a "Post", just let me know on this blog or call me at x4488. The way the Blogger software works is that I need to "invite" you via email to be a Post-er.

Wow! Thank you! This is cool. Both Gail Hopley's son and you are going to Bellingham soon. I'll ask Maria to call you this weekend, Eileen.
By the way, I'm not sure if putting our "real" emails on the blog opens us up to spam. I think folks might be better off clicking on the other member's name -- and that may send a blog mail to them. I'll try that right now, Eileen.

Does anyone need to have book dropped off at the Burlington Library on Wednesday April 16? Would you like to come with? Do you have an errand to run that is nearby the library?
I will be leaving the Island at 4:30pm. This outing will include me picking my son up from preschool around the corner from the library. We like to spend an hour or so there. We will return to the island before 6:30pm. I would love to help out if I can.

Hey all!
Kudos to Steve for taking on this project!
I take Gavin to preschool every morning which means I roll the length of Fairhaven Blvd. Anyone who needs anything picked up or dropped off in Old Burlington please give me a call at 766-7171 and I'll be glad to oblige.
Also, I have recently gotten FedEx to start picking up at my office in Edison. I'll be glad to serve as a drop point for anyone who doesn't want to run to the airport or Kinkos to get stuff shipped.
